EXPERIENCE

With an honors degree in Electrical Engineering, Conor graduated in 1978 and has been involved in the cleanroom industry as a designer and later at Senior Executive level since the early 1980s. He has spent most of his career in the design and construction of cleanrooms in Pharmaceuticals and Biosafety Labs. Conor is the principal in 3dimension, specializing in cleanroom Design and Construct. Conor is an independent Technical Expert and Advisor on GMP cleanrooms and Biosafety Labs.

Conor is also a principal in the C6 Cleanroom Network which is an international network of technical experts, advisors and specialists in cleanrooms providing advice and expertise to government health departments, institutions, and companies. Conor represents Ireland and the National Standards Autority of Ireland (NSAI) at ISO level on cleanroom standardization internationally and is currently on WG1, (14644 -1 & -2 revisions) and WG2, (14698 biocontamination revision) of ISO TC 209. Conor is a technical expert and advisor on a number of Irish Government committees including the Healthcare Standards Consultative Committee and provided the cleanroom technical support as part of the introduction of the recent EU Blood and EU Tissue Directives. Conor continues to lecture in Ireland, UK and USA on a range of specialized topics associated with cleanroom standards, modular Design & Build, clean build protocols in Cleanrooms and Biosafety Labs.

PERSONAL

Conor Murray is a founder member and current Chairman of the Irish Cleanrooms Society (ICS). Conor was Chairman of the ICCCS in 2008 when the ICS hosted the biennial International Confederation of Contamination Control Societies, (ICCCS) Symposium. Conor is Chairman of the International Cleanroom Education Board (ICEB). Conor’s particular areas of expertise are in Process Integration, Lifecycle Sustainability, Energy Efficiency, Green and Modular Design, Fast Track Clean Build Construction and Decontamination.
